Sarajevo to host a One-day National Cheerleading Camp

cheerleedingCheerleading camp will be held in Skenderija on the 23rd of October. This is the first event under the auspices of Cheerleading Association of BiH that will be held in Bosnia, because all previous were held in Herzegovina, which is rich in cheerleading clubs.

It is fascinating information that the West Herzegovina Canton has teams in all four cities, and that there is no club in Bosnia. Alliance is organizing camp in Sarajevo with the aim of developing the sport and cheerleading in Bosnia.

Cheerleading was officially recognized as a sport on the 31st of May 2013, and negotiations about entering the Olympic Games are currently ongoing. Cheerleading is the most popular sport with football and the fastest growing sport in the world and it is the only sport where both boys and girls are competing.

More than 200 athletes from all over the country were reported at the camp, and more is expected. Besides the members of the alliance, the camp is open for those who want to start cheerleading club and acquire basic knowledge, but also for all interested individuals.

All participants in the camp will receive a diploma, and the best ones will receive gift packages.
