Sarajevo International Airport once again took part in the regional project Danova Next, whose main goal is to improve the accessibility of transport (air, water and city transport) in the Danube region for people with disabilities (deaf and hard of hearing), by creating innovative services and providing fully accessible services digital travel information (DTIS).
Danova Next, as they point out from the Sarajevo airport, is a transnational cooperation project financed from the European Fund for Regional Development within the European Territorial Cooperation objective, which provides support for regional cooperation between the countries of the Danube region.
The total value of the project for Sarajevo International Airport is 165,000 euros.
A total of 16 project partners from the Danube region participate in the project, namely: Dubrovnik Airport, Budapest Airport, Montenegro Airports, Sarajevo International Airport, Avia Invest Moldova, Municipality of Maribor, Port of Kotor, Port of Pula, J.P. for tranport Bratislava, Czech Republic Smart City, Association for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People of the Republic of Romania, Association of Blind and Visually Impaired People of the Republic of Austria, Croatian Association for Persons with Reduced Mobility, University of Maribor, Bulgarian Association for Technology Transfer and the Faculty of Economics in Vienna.
The project will last until June 2026.
