The happy passenger is Gordana Anicic from Mostar, who said that this is her first time to win a prize in her life. Anicic is a passenger on the flight Sarajevo – Belgrade with airline Air Serbia, and her final destination is Prague.

The International Airport in Sarajevo this year recorded two more records. In July, a total of 109,141 passengers got registered, which represents an increase of 22.2 % compared to July in 2015 and in August was recorded the highest number of passengers in one month – a total of 118 350.

The director of the International Airport in Sarajevo Armin Kajmakovic said that with the increase in the number of passengers comes the obligation of increasing capacity in the form of expansion of the terminal and the parking lot, which is planned for the future.

“This is an important record for the Sarajevo Airport. All our expectations came true,” said Kajmakovic.

As for the introduction of new airlines, the International Airport in Sarajevo is expecting establishment of airlines Sarajevo – Budapest (WizzAir) and Sarajevo – Doha (Qatar Airways) at the beginning of next year.
