The Sarajevo International Airport will remember last year as a year of great results, and the record numbers prove it.

In the past year, Sarajevo International Airport serviced 1,377,348 passengers, which is even 20 percent more compared to the reference year of 2019, and 15,451 flight operations were performed, i.e. 13 percent more compared to the pre-pandemic 2019.

A total of 28 airlines operated from Sarajevo Airport during 2022, connecting Bosnia and Herzegovina with as many as 40 world and European destinations.

“That Sarajevo Airport is moving towards its new million was also indicated by the results of ACI EUROPE, which, according to statistics for September 2022, ranked Sarajevo Airport in the “Top 5” airports in group 4 (airports with up to 5 million passengers), with an increase of as much as 36 percent compared to the same period in 2019, but also the fact that already in October we broke the record for the number of passengers from 2019,” stated the Sarajevo International Airport.

The Airport said that the continuation of positive business is expected in 2023.
