The Mayor of Sarajevo, Samir Avdić, received today at the City Hall the BiH kickboxing national team led by coach Adnan Redžović.

The Mayor congratulated them on the outstanding result achieved at the World Kickboxing Championship, held in Abu Dhabi from 21 to 30 November 2025, the City Administration announced.

At one of the most demanding world championships to date, the BiH national team, with 28 male and female competitors out of 1,956 participants from 89 countries, managed to win 7 medals, including 5 senior and 2 medals from the masters category.

“This outstanding result is yet another proof of the dedication, work and talent of our athletes and the entire coaching staff. The City of Sarajevo is proud of the successes with which our city and Bosnia and Herzegovina are represented in a dignified manner on the international sports scene. Our support for the clubs will not be lacking in the future,” Avdić emphasized.
