Sarajevo Mayor with the Families of the murdered Children: We will not allow Lies

The mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karic, met yesterday with the family members of the children whose names were on the list of those killed, which was published in the Republika Srpska(RS) entity.

“We feel sorry for every murdered child anywhere on the globe, but we will not allow lies and planting of facts! After the shameful attempt from Prijedor, when during the commemoration of the ‘Storm’ a photo of a Bosniak exile from Zepa was presented as a Serbian victim of the ‘Storm’ in Croatia, now it was time to present falsifications of the murdered children of besieged Sarajevo,” Karic wrote.

She reminded that the names of the murdered children of the besieged Sarajevo were on the list of 106 murdered children compiled by the Republican Center for Research on War and War Crimes in the RS, and which was then used by the RTRS for the purposes of the report.

“Today I met with Miroslav Lukic, Danijela Sahat and Dejan Malesevic, whose brothers were killed during the siege of Sarajevo, and their names were on the lists of children killed in the RS. When they were killed, Marko and Damir were 17 years old, and Igor was eight years old. The city of Sarajevo stands by the families of the victims and we will use all legal means to ensure that all those who violated the innocent victims, the murdered youth of Sarajevo, are held accountable for that,” Karic explained yesterday.
