Sarajevo PM: If possible, we will form a federal Government without the SDA

Will the increase in gas prices on the world market inevitably mean higher heating bills in Canton Sarajevo (CS)? How to help the population, is the solution in subsidizing? The current Prime Minister of the CS, Edin Forto, was also asked what is the fate of the started processes and what will the future government look like in CS, but also at other levels, entity and state.

“In the CS, there is an agreement between the Trojka parties that have a sufficient majority to form the Government, that we discuss the issue together with the eventual formation of the Federal Government.”

Forto said that today in Mostar, a meeting will be held on the formation of government at the federal level.

“In front of the Trojka, the presidents of SDP, People and Justice (Narod i Pravda – NiP) and Our Party (Nasa stranka) are going to start talks, to see what the processes are. It is a preliminary meeting and the first official one with HDZ.”

He emphasized that, if possible, they will form a federal government without the SDA.

“I think it will be possible in such a way that the parties with a sufficient number of votes will form the government without the SDA.”

Forto noted that nobody put pressure on them, but that they put pressure on others.

“SDA by itself, Our party was not created to fight against the SDA. We want a better society. In order to have a better society, we need to take some steps. It is important that the SDA be the opposition for a time at the federal level. It is important that they see how can it be better. They have some processes and some internal things they have to sort out, they have people on blacklists. They need to become a modern right-of-center party that fights for a better society and country, not what they have become, which is an interest group. We advocate such a way of working and we want to impose ourselves as an example of such work, and that is why we advocate that they join the opposition.”
