The mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karic, announced that Sarajevo has received its first urban garden and sensory park modeled on European and world capitals.

“All our fellow citizens, including the youngest with developmental difficulties, as well as the elderly from Sarajevo, have received a public space that stimulates mental and physical ability through a wide range of tactile and sensory experiences,” said Karic.

She pointed out that it was a real pleasure to share with them the joy of planting the first plants in the garden.

“The city of Sarajevo continues to be your faithful friend and support on the way to a healthier and better way of life,” concluded Karic.

The urban garden is located in the yard of the School for Secondary Vocational Education and Training in the municipality of Novo Sarajevo.
