Mikser House, a regional center of urban culture, officially opened its doors in the settlement of Pofalici in Sarajevo. Numerous artists, cultural workers, and political officials gathered in the rearranged area of the former factory “Vaso Miskin Crni”.
The opening was attended by Mayor of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka, the Minister of Culture of CS Mirvad Kuric, actors Emir Hadzihafizbegovic, Mirsad Tuka, Ermin Sijamija, Vedrana Seksan, director Ademir Kenovic and many others.
Sarajevo Mikser was opened with the presentation of the Balkan Design Shop, a place where visitors will have the opportunity to take a look and purchase works by the best Balkan designers. The basis of the Balkan Design Shop are pieces of furniture made by famous design collectives including Zanat and Gazzda, as well as a selection of great individual designers around them.
“Thank you for the support that we received all these days. Mikser started as a platform that gathers, reveals and nurtures designers from the Balkans. Mikser House is aimed to make us visible, to connect and to be stronger because when small hands agree, everything can happen, “said the creative director Maja Lalic.
This center of the future creative industry in Sarajevo represents a result of long cooperation between the Mixer from Belgrade and numerous creators from BiH, who are jointly fighting for the redesign of the Balkans as part of Europe, from which, mostly bad news went to the world throughout the history.
The gallery and exhibition were opened by Cornelio Sommaruga, the former president of MKCK. The opening was also attended by Abdulah Skaka, Mirvad Kuric, Emir Hadzihafizbegovic, Mirsad Zuka and Vedrana Seksan.
After that, the Regional Children Philharmonic, which brings together the most talented children from all parts of the former Yugoslavia, they played the biggest names in the history of music and made a real music spectacle.
