Sarajevo records new Cases of Coronavirus

According to the KS Public Health Institute, 90 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Sarajevo Canton last day, after 913 samples were laboratory tested. In the same period, 111 people recovered from Covid-19 infection.

Unfortunately, four patients died.

There are currently 116 patients in hospital, 105 of whom have an acute infection, while the rest are post covid or under observation / triage.

The share of unvaccinated persons in the number of hospitalized is 75.86 percent.

59 patients are being treated at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 57 at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas”. There are 10 people on the respirator, 13 of them use non-invasive ventilation, while seven patients are on oxygen support.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 1,477 active cases of Covid-19 infection. There are currently 2,089 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 68,249 people infected with the coronavirus have been registered, and 66,173 have been cured.

“In the past seven days, the average number of infected is 101, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 168,” according to the Institute of Public Health of CS.

281 patients were examined in the Covid clinics of the Public Institution Health Center CS, of which six were transported for hospital treatment.
