works3By asphalting the remaining part of sidewalks last week, the last finishing works on the construction of a roundabout at the junction of Dzemala Bijedica Street and Seste transverzale Street were completed, while the construction of another roundabout in Buca Potok is currently under the construction, confirmed the Head of the construction site, Asmir Hajlovac.

Within the construction of the roundabout in the Dzemala Bijedica Street, the existing crossroad with traffic lights was reconstructed into a circular, road constructions has been replaced and the road and sidewalks were asphalted. The horizontal and vertical signalization was set, electro-installations were displaced, deep drainage was made and new curbs were placed as well.

Works on the construction of the second roundabout at the junction of Safeta Zajke Street and Seste transverzale Street, next to the gas stations in Buca Potok, and relocation of plumbing installations are performed as planned, without any suspension of the traffic.

Employees of the company Euro-Asfalt are day and night on the terrain, and they are currently finishing works on the supporting structure or more specifically construction of retaining walls on the right side of the road, behind the underpass. They removed the old sidewalks, and changed their positions, because the road will be extended on some places.

“We are conducting works on new curbs and sidewalks and we are setting up the drainage. Besides retaining walls, we are also performing excavations on the access road, or on the new route of entry in the Tuzlanska Street, which will go beyond the residential buildings and will be directly connected with the roundabout. In the following days, we will start with setting of the curbs towards Tuzlanska Street, so that this part of the work can be completed within the next 10 days, in order to start setting up the first layer of asphalt and allow the traffic on the newly built access road. After that, we will be able to execute the works on the roundabout itself,” explained Hajlovac.
