Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Mirko Sarovic, will participate today and tomorrow in Geneva at the final negotiations on the accession of BiH to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

As it was announced, bilateral negotiations will be conducted with Brazil, Ukraine and Russia, and all remaining key conditions for accession to the WTO have been previously fulfilled.

“I’m traveling to Geneva, and my team has been in the headquarters of the WTO since Monday,” said Sarovic.

He added that with his involvement he wanted to encourage the conclusion of these negotiations.

To recall, the WTO delegation recently assessed that BiH has recently made a great progress in negotiations, and is very close to the historical signing of full membership in the WTO.

“I expect finalization with Ukraine and Brazil because we are very close to the agreement,” said Sarovic yesterday, the day before important negotiations for BiH’s accession to the WTO.
