Sebija Izetbegovic, wife of the President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegovic, is apparently a candidate for the member of the Presidency of BiH from the Bosniak people in the upcoming general elections in October.

At least four municipal committees strongly supported Sebija Izetbegovic over other candidates during the internal SDA nomination of candidates for a member of the Presidency of BiH from Bosniak people.

Professor Sebija Izetbegovic currently has the support of municipal organizations of Ilidza, Vares, Fojnica, as well as one from the RS.

Most probably, Sebija Izetbegovic will have the support of the Association of Women of the SDA and the Association FATMA, as well as the great support of municipal councils of SDA from Sarajevo.

Municipal Organization of SDA in Fojnica, besides Sebija Izetbegovic, also proposed Sefik Dzaferovic and Denis Zvizdic.

Moreover, there will be SDA gathering in Kljuc on Friday, April 27, and the Association of Women of SDA invited Sebija Izetbegovic to this meeting. However, she cancelled due to some already agreed obligations, so Sefik Dzaferovic will attend that meeting.

To recall, the President of SDA Bakir Izetbegovic previously listed four potential candidates for the member of the Presidency of BiH from Bosniak people, and his list included Denis Zvizdic, Safet Softic, Sefik Dzaferovic and Adil Osmanovic.

Safet Softic said that the candidate of SDA for the Presidency of BiH will be formally promoted at the party’s convention that will take place on May 26.
