The construction of a wind farm in Livno was agreed on the 9th Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF) as a new large investment project.

The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Yuksel Guler, General Director of the Turkish company Enprode and Pero Vrdoljak, a representative of BH company Imres Smart.

“This energy project will be based in Livno, in the vicinity of the border with the Republic of Croatia. The first phase will be 100 MW wind farm, and the second phase will be 100 MW hydroelectric power plant. We believe that this project will contribute to resolving the uncertainty of prices of liberal energy since it is renewable energy,” said Guler, and added: “This project will connect the energy system of BiH. Its main strategic goal is to integrate BiH into the European Union in the system of interconnection, and its aim is also to offer services to major energy actors in the EU.”

The official signing ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdic, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, Mehmet Simsek, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to BiH, Haldun Koc.
