denis_zvizdic_jens_stoltenbergDuring his visit to BIH capital, the Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg, met with BiH authorities and answered on the question asked by the TV1, regarding the potential new conflict in Balkans:

“We have seen certain statements, rhetoric, incidents of concern to us, but I am certain that the citizens and leaders of the region will not make the same mistake,” said Stoltenberg on TV1.

Secretary General of NATO said that the citizens of the Western Balkan are aware of the consequences that the possible war would bring.

“This way I urge all authorities to lower tensions and to continue with peace building in the region,” said Stoltenberg.

As an example of a shift from a paradigm of war to a paradigm of peace, he mentioned northern Europe, and the Nordic countries of Norway, Denmark, and Sweden.

“We fought with a war challenges for centuries, but we were able to overcome the past, and now we have become very good friends. I am absolutely certain that the past has to be overcome. We need to continue building peace in the future, this is an assignment for people here in BiH, but there is a NATO to assist in this process, “concluded the Secretary General of NATO.
