Senad Masovic attended a Meeting of the European Union Military Committee in Brussels

The Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AFBiH), Lieutenant General Senad Masovic led a delegation of the AFBiH, who yesterday on November 21st, attended a meeting of the European Union (EU) Military Committee at the level of the Chief of Staff in Brussels.

The AFBiH delegation also included the head of AFBiH Joint Staff Chief’s office, Brigadier Edin Fako, the Head of the NATO Military Mission of BiH, and at the same time the BiH Military Representative for the EU Brigadier Jasmin Cajic and the Staff Officer for the NATO Military Mission of BiH Major Zvonimir Duvnjak.

During the meeting, the current situation in peacekeeping missions and operations was discussed, as well as opportunities for strengthening the EU-led training. On that occasion, the Staff Chiefs exchanged opinions and experiences arising from their work so far, with suggestions for the activities in the upcoming period.

Lieutenant General Senad Masovic presented the successful results so far on the participation of AFFBiH members in the EU Training Mission in the Central African Republic, with a measure proposal for its improvement. He confirmed that the AFBiH will continue its engagement in this mission, which clearly indicates BiH’s contribution to ensuring international peace and security, and its commitment to continue its path towards Euro-Atlantic integration.

‘’In addition to attending this meeting, Lieutenant General Senad Masovic visited the NATO Military Mission of BiH. On that occasion, the Head of the NATO Military Mission of BiH and, at the same time, the BiH Military Representative for the EU, Brigadier Jasmin Cajic, informed General Masovic on current activities and challenges in the work, as well as future activities of the NATO Military Mission for BiH,’’ it is said by the PR office of BiH Ministry of Defense.
