Senators asked Biden to ban Travel between the US and China

A group of five American senators sent a letter to the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, in which they demand an immediate ban on travel between America and China due to the spread of an unknown respiratory disease.

“Right now, the world is facing another unknown pathogen coming from China that could spread to other countries, including the US. In light of the unknown respiratory disease spreading through China, we urge you to immediately ban travel between the US and China,” the senators wrote in a letter to the president.

The letter was signed by Senators Marco Rubio, James David Vance, Rick Scott, Tommy Taberville and Mike Brown.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said earlier this week that it is safe to travel to China and do business in the country, despite media reports of the rapid spread of the respiratory infection.

China’s National Health Commission reported a sharp increase in the number of respiratory disease cases in the country in mid-October. The media announced last week that children in northern China were diagnosed with a previously unknown type of pneumonia.
