Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić arrived in Mostar this morning, where he was welcomed by the member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović. Vučić will attend a ceremony in Trebinje today to open a new hospital, together with the leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), Milorad Dodik, and RS officials.

Vučić then visited the Monastery of Saint Basil of Tvrdoš and Ostrog in Mrkonjići, and accompanied by representatives of the Republika Srpska, toured the spiritual center, the construction of which is partly financed by Serbia and whose value is 2.5 million BAM.

“In this small but miraculous temple, in the town of Mrkonjići, which gave birth to one of the greatest saints of our church, I lit candles for blessings and all the best to our people and all people of good will,” Vučić wrote on Instagram.

Vučić was welcomed in Mrkonjići by Metropolitan Dimitrije of Zahumlje Herzegovina and the Littoral, Milorad Dodik, and the Mayor of Trebinje Mirko Ćurić.

The opening of the “Saint Archdeacon Stefan – January 9” hospital is part of the program marking RS Day – January 9, which the Constitutional Court of BiH has repeatedly declared unconstitutional.
