The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, stated that he opposes any sanctions against anyone in the Republika Srpska (RS) and that he will propose to the Government to come out with such an attitude, saying that there will never be a blockade on the Drina again.

“As for sanctions against some in RS, my proposal to the Government is to come out with that, and as president, I will come out with that position – to absolutely oppose any kind of sanctions, because they have never been imposed only to one group,” Vucic noted at the session of the Government of Serbia in Belgrade.

”According to him, Serbia, if the Government agrees with that, will not make a decision on imposing any sanctions on anyone from the RS, ” RTS reported.

I once said that there will never be a blockade on the Drina, as there were and we will not treat the leadership of the RS as it was done 20 or more years ago. That is my proposal for you, that decision is made by the Government. Such sanctions, if they happen, will not exist for me,” Vucic said.
