“Republika Srpska (the RS) is entity created in Dayton. I think that these things are clear,” said the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic during a meeting in Istanbul with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and a member of the Presidency of BiH Bakir Izetbegovic.

“We do not want to undermine your territorial integrity, and we would like to ask you to have such a relationship towards the RS, which is an entity created with Dayton on the territory of BiH. I think that these things are clear,” stated Vucic.

On the other hand, the authorities in BH entity of the RS are trying to impose the thesis that this entity was created on January 9, 1992, when representatives of Bosnian Serbs proclaimed the RS in the part of the internationally recognized Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Experts for international law explain that in case that such a wrong thesis gets accepted, it would mean that the RS has the right on secession from BiH.

President Vucic, as well as Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, did not attend the celebration of January 9, this year.
