Serbian President: We are rapidly developing new Weapons

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić assessed on Saturday that the Serbian Army must be twice as strong as it is now, pointing out that the development of new weapons is currently being accelerated, citing drones in particular.

“There are new doctrinal documents that state that we must be much stronger than today and we are working on it rapidly,” said Vučić in Žarkov, during a tour of the Military Technical Institute (VTI) and display of weapons, reports Beta agency.

“We are not going to attack anyone, but we have to secure our country,” the Serbian president asserted, adding that the war in Ukraine showed that weapons must be changed in order to be as effective as possible.

He also said that everyone is getting armed and that he is afraid that an even bigger conflict is yet to come in Europe and the world, than he said before the start of the war in Ukraine, when no one believed him.

He also pointed out that there is a huge demand for Serbian weapons by many, noting that there is a “craze” for weapons in the world, and that “militarization” is going on everywhere.
