Unbelievable tensions prevailed in Tirana two nights ago, where Albania hosted Serbia in the 3rd round match of the World Cup qualifiers.
The match was held at the Air Albania stadium, where 22.500 home team supporters gathered and created incredible noise during the playing of Serbia’s anthem “Boze pravde” (O God of Justice).
The anthem was played before the match, and at that moment, unprecedented whistles could be heard from the stands to the point that the anthem was barely audible in the TV broadcast.
While the stars of Serbia were singing the anthem of their homeland, they were being provoked even by the boys they brought onto the pitch before the match started.
Namely, the boys made hand gestures and showed the symbol of the double-headed eagle, which is like a “finger in the eye” to all Serbs.
Namely, this was Serbia’s first match in the qualifiers because they previously had to play the Nations League, while Albania in the first two rounds achieved a total of three points, having won against Andorra and lost to England, Klix.ba writes.
