SERDA will implement 18 EU financed projects in 2013

In 2013, Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency (SERDA) will implement 18 projects that are being financed from the EU funds.

On their last session, the Assembly of SERDA adopted the Activity Plan for 2013 that predicts the realization of projects in cooperation with founders and members of SERDA, while still focusing on projects that are financed from the EU funds.

Given the fact that in the previous period there were several open calls from the EU which provided opportunities to apply to projects from different fields, SERDA, thanks to its readiness and professionalism used this chance and applied to all public calls that were available for BiH.

SERDA reminds that in BiH, only two components of IPA pre-Accession assistance is available in BiH, because BiH has the status of potential candidate for EU membership.

Accordingly, SERDA, in cooperation with partners, has applied in the past year for the available programs with 92 projects, which once again proved that SERDA is one of the leading agencies in south-eastern Europe.

So far 14 new projects where SERDA will participate as a partner from BiH were approved, and 28 projects are in the process of final evaluation and it is expected that six more projects will also be approved.

All approved projects are aimed at creating a harmonized economic development of Sarajevo macro-region, which will contribute to the overall economic development of BiH.

In addition to the financial significance, approved projects have an added value due to the fact that SERDA expanded the network of partnerships with more than 200 different governmental and non-governmental organizations from the EU and the countries that are in the pre-accession phase of EU accession.
