The beginning of the filming of a serial on the first President of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegovic, will start soon and it should be presented to the Turkish audience in several months.

The life of Alija Izetbegovic will be presented in a serial of six episodes.

The story of the life of Alija Izetbegovic follows the period since his birth, his youth when he fell in love with his wife Halida, until his death, or more specifically the period from 1944 to 2003.

Director Ahmed Imamovic noted the size of the project and added that “it is an incredible experience for a man to get such a project in life,” because it is not just about the story, but also the quantity and the type of production.

According to him, the team consists of professionals, and the filming will last for about three months. This project is very important, said Imamovic, because “Alija Izetbegovic marked an entire historical epoch in BiH”.

“This serial follows his life, from the World War II to his death. It follows chapters of a transition of one society, the creation of certain states, the collapse of those states, the creation of other states, the story of aggression, etc,” said Imamovic.

Filming of the serial will take place in BiH, or specifically in Sarajevo, Pocitelj, Mostar, Blagaj, Tarcin, and Konjic….
