The Prosecutor’s Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNK) confirmed that during the day the police detained several persons who are linked to the attack on four young men from Stolac.

“Working on this case, on April 9, 2024, members of the Ministry of Interior of the HNK identified and detained several persons who are suspected of having participated in the commission of criminal acts. It was also determined who are the owners-users of four vehicles that are linked to the critical event,” the Prosecutor’s Office announced.

It is added that the MUP and the Prosecutor’s Office continue to undertake investigative actions in this case, with the aim of discovering all the attackers and establishing all the facts and circumstances under which these crimes were committed, and prosecuting the perpetrators.

We remind you that, according to the police, the attack took place on the night from Saturday to Sunday, around midnight, when a group of ten people with three cars intercepted a car driven by M. A. (2004) from Poplašić, Stolac, in which there were three other people.

The attackers hit the car owned by M.A. with baseball bats, and then they also beat the passengers from the vehicle with bats, who were treated at the “Dr. Safet Mujić” Cantonal Hospital and the Emergency Medicine Center of the Mostar University Clinical Hospital.
