nafta-shellIn the next several days, the FB&H government is expected to announce an international tender for the selection of professional consultants to provide services in the conduct of negotiations for the award of concession contracts for exploration and exploitation of oil in the FB&H, confirmed the Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Erdal Trhulj for Dnevni Avaz yesterday.

This is about the choice of a consulting firm on the awarding of concession for oil, which will be started by the British-Dutch company Shell, and which has already expressed interest in the exploration of oil in the Dinarides area. Shell is ready to invest around 700 million dollars in this project.

‘’A commission has already been appointed to prepare all the necessary documentation for a public call and as much as I know, everything is already in the final stages. In the next few days, everything should be finished, so that the tender can be signed’’, said Trhulj.

The Minister confirmed that it is impossible to award a concession for oil or begin negotiations without an international consultant. He described this project as strategically important for the FB&H and the entire country. He explained that Shell is ready to look for oil in the RS as well.
