vinogradEntrepreneur Vinko Zovko, who lives in Žepče and Italy, announced the launch of large-scale investments in the amount of 50 million Euros, which he plans to invest in the area of Žepče.

He told ekapija.ba that this investment includes the construction of wineries in the area of Osova near Žepče and raising the total vineyard area from 1000 to 1500 hectares of land. He plans to realize this investment, which he started with Italian partners who have experience in the winemaking sector, in the next 10 years.

Activities in this direction have already started. Last year, he worked on the preparation of land for planting vineyards, and in March of this year he began the first planting on 3 hectares of land. He already invested around 300.000 Euros.

There is a plan to plant six types of grapes, of which three will produce white wine and three will produce red wine. They plan to place the products in foreign markets, specifically the Italian market.

The first harvest is expected in September 2015.
