The protocol on the establishment of the command chain which fulfills the conditions for the export of milk and its products from BiH in the EU, was signed today in Sarajevo, which enables producers to exported not only in Croatia, but also in other EU countries.
The protocol was signed by Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the RS Stevo Mirjanić and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Federation of BiH (FBiH) Jerko Ivanković-Lijanović.
Šarović at a press conference after signing the protocol, said that this is good news for producers of milk and its products in BiH.
“This is a crucial step in meeting the requirements for the export of food with plant and animal origin,” said Šarović.
Minister Mirjanić stated that signing of the protocol enables producers to find a place on the European market, with their products.
He expressed hope that in the future to continue with these activities.
Lijanović stated that he hopes, the same to be undertaken for meat and meat products.
Director of the Veterinary Office Ljubomir Kalaba said that with the signing of the the protocol is achieved that milk and milk products are exported not only in Croatia, but also in the whole EU countries.
Today was also signed an Agreement on administrative bodies at the local level, responsible for the implementation of official controls, which was signed by representatives of the cantons in FBiH and Brčko District.
