Despite daily price increases and inflation, savings are growing in Montenegrin banks, and citizens have a total of 2.65 billion euros in banks, which is 15 percent more than last year, according to data from the Central Bank of Montenegro.
Data from the Central Bank of Montenegro show that a quarter of total deposits are owned by foreigners.
Citizens have 2.65 billion euros in bank accounts, and in the comparative period last year they had 2.32 billion euros.
“This year, citizens’ deposits have grown by 331.4 million euros or 14.27 percent,” the Central Bank of Montenegro states.
They add that short-term deposits make up 90.1 percent, and long-term deposits make up 9.89 percent of total deposits in the system.
