Member of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanic met with the Ambassador of China Chen Bo, and they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the internal political situation in BiH and PR China.
Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China informed Ivanic about the economic investment projects of NR China in BiH. After the successful project of HPP Stanari, final negotiations for the Block 7 Tuzla Thermal Power Plant Project, the most valuable post-war project in BiH, as well as HPP Dabar, are taking place at the moment.
Ambassador Chen Bo announced that the Summit 16 + 1, which will be held in Budapest at the end of November, as well as the Tourism Conference in Sarajevo. They also announced the signing of the visa abolishment agreement.
During the meeting, they noted that the progress was made in bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the field of economic cooperation.
Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China informed the member of the Presidency of BiH on the political situation in China after the recently held 19th Congress of the Communist Party of China. At the Congress were determined the new goals of development of the PRC, and it was emphasized that the international cooperation should be achieved through mutual consultations and negotiations. The importance of global security was emphasized as well.
During the meeting was also discussed the Chinese development strategy “Belt and road”.
The Member of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanic also informed the Ambassador of China about the current political situation in BiH.
