As part of the “Incitat” operation, conducted by the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), on the order of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office, the former director of the Sarajevo Forest, Nermin Demirović, was arrested this morning.

Azra Bavčić, spokeswoman for the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office in Sarajevo, announced that the prosecutor will decide on further measures after questioning Demirović.

The cantonal court in Sarajevo previously ordered a one-month detention for the mayor of the municipality of Trnovo, Ibra Berilo, as well as for Nađa Milišić and Adis Mulaosmanović, while Edina Džigal was sentenced to restraining orders.

They are charged with conspiring to commit criminal acts, namely abuse of position or authority and money laundering. It is a case of systemic corruption in the construction sector and money laundering.
