SIPA arrests Three Persons for Election Fraud in Srebrenica

Today, the police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, in cooperation with the police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton, in the area of ​​Srebrenica and Tuzla, arrested three people for election fraud.

Three persons were arrested due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed a criminal offense under Article 249 of the Criminal Code of BiH – association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses, in connection with the criminal offense offense under Article 248 of the same law – preparation of a criminal offense, and criminal offenses under Article 347 of the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska – forgery of a document, Article 157 – unauthorized use of personal data and Article 217 – violation of suffrage of the same law, said SIPA.

During the implementation of these activities, SIPA police officers searched six locations and on that occasion discovered and temporarily confiscated several mobile phones, diaries, copies of excerpts from voter lists, pistols and other items that can serve as evidence in further criminal proceedings.

These activities were carried out by orders of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and the Court of BiH. The suspects were taken to the SIPA premises and are being criminally processed.

SDP members are suspected of election fraud in Srebrenica, who favored Mladen Grujicic. The party said that they had no information or participated in election fraud, and that individuals, if proven guilty, would be expelled from the party.
