SIPA conducts Searches throughout BiH for Tax Evasion, Money Laundering…

Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) have today launched the operation “Soda” in the areas of East Sarajevo, Sarajevo, Rogatica, Gradiška, Bijeljina and Brčko.

As part of the operation, residential and ancillary buildings and movable property are being searched at 10 locations in connection with 10 suspects.

The operation “Soda” is being conducted by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offenses of “Association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses” and in connection with the criminal offenses of “Tax evasion or fraud”, “Money laundering”, “Counterfeiting of signs for marking goods, measures and weights” prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as criminal offenses from the entity criminal codes relating to customer deception, forgery of business books and other.
