The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) officers on Tuesday in Zvornik uncovered and temporarily confiscated a large number of weapons, the agency said in a press release.
The SIPA seized an automatic rifle, 1,800 pieces of ammunition, a hand grenade, 750 grams of TNT explosives, several ammunition tanks and other items that could serve as evidence in criminal proceedings.
In this operation, the SIPA, acting on the orders of the District Court of Bijeljina, and in cooperation with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska, questioned the suspect and searched residential premises in order to find traces and objects related to the crime of illicit manufacturing and trafficking in weapons or explosives.
