Norway Financial Aid visoko.co.baThe Ambassador of Norway to Bosnia and Herzegovina Vibeke Lilloe and the resident coordinator of the UN in B&H Sezin Sinanoglu visited yesterday the Milk Industry Zenica (ZIM), one of the successful projects of reconstruction financed by the government of Norway through the UN Floods Recovery Programme “Today, For All of Us”.

After the floods, the government of Norway approved means amounting to around 900,000 BAM for revitalization and modernization of the production chain of milk in the Zenica-Doboj Canton. These funds supported the production in the dairy factory ZIM and 308 farmers who cooperate with this dairy.

Total contribution of the Norwegian government for the UN Floods Recovery Programme so far amounts to around 4.5 million US dollars.

Moreover, the Ambassador Lilloe visited the Health Center in Doboj. Thanks to the Norwegian authorities, this center has been equipped with new medical equipment, including six ambulance vehicles that were destroyed in the floods.

The UN Floods Recovery Programme, worth 22.6 million US dollars, is financed by 28 donors. The Government of Norway is the largest individual donor, contributing with 29 million NOK (nearly 4.5 million US dollars).

The Programme facilitates the establishment of normal living conditions in communities affected by floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
