Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested one person in the area of Sarajevo Canton, after discovering and temporarily confiscating 311.50 kilograms of cut tobacco in the vehicle he was driving.

“One person was deprived of his liberty, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of ‘Illicit traffic in excise goods’ prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” SIPA stated.

The criminal processing of the person deprived of liberty and interrogation as a suspect was carried out.

The aforementioned activities were carried out by oral order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in cooperation with the police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.
