The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) has arrested Enver Bijedic, a parliamentarian from the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, BHRT has learned.
The director of the Tuzla Salt Mine, Aziz Cackovic, was also arrested. The Agency for Investigation and Protection (SIPA) announced today that, as part of an operation code-named “Mine”, six people were arrested in the Tuzla Canton on suspicion of associating to commit a crime, in connection with the crime of abuse of office or powers.
Persons, residential and business buildings, and movables were searched at nine locations in Tuzla, Gracanica and Zivinice used by six natural persons, and on that occasion, items that will serve as evidence in criminal proceedings were discovered and temporarily seized, SIPA stated in the press release.
The suspects are currently in the premises of SIPA and are under criminal investigation. The mentioned activities were realized according to the orders of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton and the Municipal Court in Tuzla, in cooperation with the MUP of the Tuzla Canton.
