Six Health Workers Coronavirus positive in Gorazde

Six new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Gorazde located in Bosnian Podrinje Canton and all is confirmed with healthcare workers working in the local hospital.

According to a statement from the Cantonal Crisis Staff of the Civil Protection Service of the Bosnian Podrinje Canton, all doctors were in contact with a patient whose coronavirus infection was confirmed on Friday, according to Fena news agency.

“These are four employees of the Gorazde Cantonal Hospital and two employees of the Gorazde Health Center,” the crisis staff confirmed.

Director of the Cantonal Hospital, doctor Nermina Kamenica pointed out that the infection of healthcare workers is expected since the medical staff is at the forefront of the fight against coronavirus.

In the area of this canton, 19 people are currently infected with coronavirus, two have been cured, while 123 remain in home isolation and are under medical supervision.
