On the occasion of the 6th of April, the Day of the City of Sarajevo, the City Council of Sarajevo has already some ongoing activities on the preparations for the awarding of Sixth of April Award of the City of Sarajevo of 2016.
The Sixth of April Award of Sarajevo is awarded as the highest social recognition for the major achievements and significant results of work in the areas of:
– Economy,
– Science and education,
– Culture and art,
– Sport,
– Health and Social Welfare,
– Other areas of work and creativity, regardless of the year of realization, which are contributing to the overall development, promotion and development of the city of Sarajevo, as the capital of B&H and the FB&H.
Under the significant achievements in terms of this Decision, included works are those realized in continuity which are being evaluated as a contribution to the development of the appropriate authorities in accordance with the usual criteria for a specific area, and which are contributing to the overall development, and promotion of the city of Sarajevo.
The prize can be awarded to individuals, groups (individuals gathered on the implementation of certain tasks with results that can be considered for getting the award as a significant achievement, and significant results of work), and groups (business organizations, institutions, associations or other legal entities in the city of Sarajevo, as well as in outside areas of Sarajevo, if their achievements or results of work are related to the city of Sarajevo).
We are inviting all interested to send their suggestions of candidates until Monday, the 25th of January 2016, to the protocol of the City Council itself or by e-mail.
