Slight Decrease in the Number of Unemployed in BiH

On June 30, there were 485,888 persons in the records of the employment services in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In comparison to the previous month, the number of unemployed persons was decreased by 1.517 or 0.31 %.

Out of the total number of people who are looking for a job, a total of 260,696 of them or 53.65 % are women.

Unemployment in the FBiH was decreased by 662 (0.19%), while in Republika Srpska it was decreased by 832 (0.69 %) and in Brcko District by 42 (0.37%).

In the structure of persons who are searching for employment, as of June 30, there were 132.325 or 27, 23 % of non-qualified workers, 160.316 or 32, 99 % qualified workers, 2.391 or 0, 49 % highly qualified workers, 1.252 or 0,26 % of low professional qualification, 135.281 or 27, 84 persons with high school education, 6.739 or 1, 39 % of higher school education and 39.274 or 8, 08 % had high professional education.

The highest number of registered unemployed persons are third-grade education workers, 32.99 % of qualified workers and 27.84 % are persons with high school education.

A total of 17,991 persons were removed from the records of employment services in the month of June. Of this number, a total of 11,809 persons were employed.

At the same time, contracts for a total of 6,944 people were terminated while employers reported the need for 5,063 new employees during this period, as announced by the Agency for Labor and Employment of BiH.
