Dozens of people were killed and injured in Israeli airstrikes in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Interior Ministry said. So far, at least 3,785 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza, while 1,400 have been killed in Israel.
In a statement on Telegram, the ministry stated that six residential buildings were destroyed in the airstrikes and that “9people were killed and more than 60 were injured.”
However, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that at least 21 people were killed and 79 wounded (mostly children and women), in the Israeli attacks.
Gaza is experiencing a severe humanitarian crisis with no electricity, while water, food, fuel and medical supplies are running out.
The fighting began when Hamas launched multiple surprise attacks on October 7th that included numerous rocket attacks and incursions into Israel by land, sea and air. Hamas said the raid was in retaliation for earlier raids on the Al-Aqsa mosque and an increase in violence by Israeli settlers.
In response, the Israeli military launched an operation against Hamas targets inside the Gaza Strip.
