After performing in front of the Eternal Flame in Sarajevo at the closing of the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival, Solomun made an announcement on social media thanking the audience.

He posted a video recording, a small part of the unforgettable atmosphere that reigned in Sarajevo’s center this Friday. His mother, Gordana, and his sister, Magdalena, joined him on the balcony.

“Touched and grateful for this homecoming. Od srca hvala, Sarajevo!” he wrote.

“Mladen the Boss! The Mozart from BiH,” “Boss, you showed how it’s done. Hats off,” “God, he is a genius! His mom is dancing next to him! I love him,” are some of the comments.

Solomun’s performance showed once again that the Sarajevo Film Festival is no longer just a movie event, but an event that, during the festival days, changes the rhythm of the entire city.

Solomun, whose real name is Mladen Solomun, was born in Travnik and is one of the pioneers of electronic music from this area. This was his third performance at the closing of the Sarajevo Film Festival, following his performances in 2019 and 2022 next to the Eternal Flame.
