A free open-air performance by the world star of electronic music Solomun will be held on Friday, August 21 in front of the Eternal Fire. Marking the last evening of the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival, the event “Eternal Flame w/ Solomun by Garden of Dreams” will bring another great musical spectacle to the audience and confirm Sarajevo as an important regional center of cultural and musical events. The event was announced by today’s press conference, where the Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, Kenan Magoda, and the co-founder of the Garden of Dreams collective, Renad Čelik, spoke.

Emphasizing that the end of the Sarajevo Film Festival always brings a special emotion, the minister pointed out that Solomun’s performance in front of the Eternal Flame will be one of the events that will be remembered for this year’s edition of the Festival. “Eternal fire is one of the symbols of our city, and when Sarajevo, music and a world-renowned artist meet in that place, we get something that is much more than a performance, and that is a moment that will remain written in the history of SFF and Sarajevo. I especially want to highlight the Garden of Dreams team, people who have been pushing the boundaries for years, believing in Sarajevo and bringing world-class artists. Together with them, we showed that Sarajevo does not have to wait for the best to come somewhere else, but that the best can come right here,” he pointed out. Magoda. He added that the promise of the most beautiful summer in Sarajevo has been fulfilled and expressed his wish that this night will become another beautiful image of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina that will travel around the world. As he stated, Sarajevo will present itself as an open, lively and different city that successfully combines its tradition with contemporary musical trends.

“After the concert of The Prodigy, this is the second big event that Garden of Dreams has realized in a period of only eight days, which speaks volumes about the intensity, energy and capacity of our team. Solomun had a great desire to return to Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in order to achieve this, he canceled some other performances. That’s why it’s really a big deal that we managed to bring him and that he will perform again in front of the audience at one of the most recognizable locations in Sarajevo”, stated the co-founder of the Garden collective of Dreams, Renad Čelik.

This will be the fourth Eternal Flame by Garden of Dreams event in a row, while this will be Solomun’s third performance in front of the Eternal Flame. He previously performed at the same location in 2019 and 2022, when his concerts gathered tens of thousands of citizens and visitors. The return to the balcony above the Eternal Fire confirms Solomun’s special connection with Sarajevo and the audience in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Along with Solomun, Bonjasky and Monkey Business will also perform. On the last night of the Sarajevo Film Festival, Titova Street will once again become a big dance floor and a meeting place for local audiences, festival guests and fans of electronic music from the entire region.
