Spiric and Castellani discussed BiH’s European Integration

The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH), Nikola Špirić, received today on an inaugural visit the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to BiH, Sarah Eti Castellani.

Ambassador Castellani expressed her satisfaction with taking up her duties in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and emphasized Italy’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and continuing to support BiH on its path towards full membership in the European Union, the Office of the Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Nikola Špirić, announced.

She emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue and cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

Špirić welcomed Castellani and wished her a successful mandate, expressing his belief that the friendly relations between the two countries will continue to develop and improve.

He thanked Italy for its support to Bosnia and Herzegovina so far, especially in the context of European integration, and emphasized the importance of further cooperation in the political, economic, educational and cultural fields.

During the meeting, they discussed the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, reform processes, and regional issues.
