On the numerous lawns in Banja Luka, the jagorčevina flowers blossomed – one of the most common harbingers of spring, which according to the calendar does not come until March 21.

Sunny weather and high air temperatures, which are not characteristic for this time of year, contributed to the earlier flowering of this perennial herbaceous and wild plant.

Jagorčevina has beautiful yellow flowers, and its young leaves are a rich source of vitamin C and other useful ingredients.

Apart from jagorčevina, the most famous harbingers of spring include violet and visibaba.
