The Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Forto, announced today in Sarajevo that the company will start providing Internet access services via the Starlink satellite in Bosnia and Herzegovina in a few days or weeks.
After a meeting with the director for global licensing and market activation of Starlink, Rebecca Slick Hunter, Forto pointed out that this is a serious infrastructure that can replace what BiH has not done for the development of broadband high-speed Internet.
“We cannot move forward as a country without infrastructure that will enable companies and citizens to have access to such an Internet,” said Forto.
He explained that there is a possibility to work in cooperation with Starlink to connect our schools with broadband internet where it is most needed and where the infrastructure is not yet developed.
Slick Hunter expressed her satisfaction that the start of the provision of Starlink services in BiH is approaching and thanked BiH institutions for their support in this process.
She added that in the coming period, more information will be available about the prices of services that will be available in the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
