Startup Weekend in Mostar finished

startup weekend mostarStartup Weekend in Mostar, that was being held in the organization of INTERA Technological Park, was officially opened on Friday.

This Startup Weekend, that was focused on IT technologies, lasted from Friday 17th April, until Sunday 19th April. During the three days, more precisely 54 hours, participants were able to, through the team work and talks with mentors, affirmed local and foreign entrepreneurs, dedicate to as detailed as possible elaboration of their business ideas. The last day of the Startup Weekend, participants presented their ideas to members of the jury, which is consisted of renowned local and foreign entrepreneurs.

In total, there were 44 registered participants that formed 8 teams. One of participants, Srdjan Skoro said that it is great that such events are organized in our region and that even more emphasis should be put on such events, where youth has an opportunity to develop their business skills. In addition, he emphasized that educational institutions should focus more at raising awareness about entrepreneurship.

Luciano Kovacevic, who participated at the first Startup Weekend as well, said that the second Startup Weekend progressed in terms of collaboration, but also in communication with mentors. Also, he emphasized that this is a great experience for young people and an opportunity for them to create their own job.

Startup Weekend, which has so far been organized in more than 30 countries and more than 750 cities of the world, was organized for the second time in Mostar with the support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, local sponsors UniCredit Bank and company MojTaxi.
