Stoltenberg: NATO could help the Defense Capabilities of BiH

After yesterday’s meeting of NATO foreign ministers, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that the members agreed that they should help Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), specifically its defense capabilities.

”The Allies agreed that we should also help other partners strengthen their resilience and strengthen their ability to defend themselves, including Georgia and BiH,” Stoltenberg stated.

He noted that NATO could increase support for Georgia through a significant package, including areas of communication and cyber security.

”As for BiH, we could develop a new package for building defense capabilities. Any assistance would be tailored, demand-driven, and delivered with the full consent of the countries concerned,” he added.

He emphasized that the implications of the Russian invasion are global and will be long-lasting.

”We have seen that China is unwilling to condemn Russian aggression, and Beijing has joined Moscow in questioning the right of nations to choose their own path,” Stoltenberg believes.
