Adnan Strojil, the head of IT services JP Highways FBiH d.o.o. from Mostar and Danijel Grujic, the head of the IT department of the company Violeta, are the winners of the first prize and are the best CIOs (chiefs information officer) of the projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The jury composed of Semir Ibrahimovic (BBI banka), Timur Gadžo (ZIS Sarajevo) and Faruk Smajlovic (VGT Insurance). Among the six projects submitted, the project implementation of ITS (Intelligent Transportation System), which was developed for monitoring, control and toll over the completed sections of the highway corridor Vc in BiH was awarded.
Competing projects carried out in private companies, expert judgment decided to award the project “Travel sales and improving server infrastructure”.
Among the numerous nominees, Jan Siroky the vice president of IDC and Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Ana Popez from Africa, Regional Director of IDC Adriatics, were present as well.
Danijel Galic, the IT expert from Violeta, winner of the private sector was delighted with the award which he won.
“Acknowledgment, especially when assigned by profession, means a lot. In the future, the Management Company will be much easier to represent IT projects” added Galic.
IDC Adriatics next week will award prizes to the best CIOs and their projects in Croatia, and there are plans to expand award on the countries of the region.
