About the case of students Valentina Vujičić and Slađani Todić, who on the day of commemoration of the genocide in Srebrenica, glorified war criminals and denied the genocide, Edin Maslo, student vice-chancellor of the University of Sarajevo, also announced on Facebook.
He said that the academic community in Serbia must not follow the path of genocide deniers and must not allow the next generations to develop on the basis of the promotion of criminals and criminal rhetoric.
“If Serbia and Belgrade accept the students in question, they will affirm such actions and degrade their own education system and academic community back in 30 years. Therefore, I ask my fellow student representatives of the student vice-chancellor of the University of Belgrade, Ana Grčić, and the head of the Student Parliament of the University of Belgrade to distance themselves from such actions and take a clear stand. “I hope that we will develop inter-neighbor, inter-student and inter-university relations on the path of truth and good intentions, and not on the affirmation of dark ideologies and conflicts,” Maslo pointed out.
